Mensagem Restaurant & Bar
The social dinner will be held at the restaurant Mensagem, located on the 5th floor of the Lisboa Pessoa Hotel.

The restaurant is located in the heart of Lisbon, at Rua da Oliveira ao Carmo, nÂş 8.
You can easily reach the hotel by public transportation via the Blue Line of the metro, getting off at Baixa-Chiado station. From there, it’s a pleasant 4-minute walk of approximately 300 meters through one of the city’s most charming areas.
Directions from Baixa-Chiado Metro Station:
Exit the metro at Baixa-Chiado, ideally using the Rua Garrett exit. From there, walk uphill along Rua Garrett, a picturesque pedestrian street rich in history and culture. Along the way, you’ll pass:
- Livraria Bertrand, the world’s oldest operating bookstore.
- Café A Brasileira, one of Lisbon’s most iconic cafés, where a statue of poet Fernando Pessoa sits outside.
Continue straight until you reach Largo do Carmo, a peaceful square shaded by jacaranda trees and surrounded by historic buildings. Here you’ll find:
- The Carmo Convent ruins, a dramatic Gothic structure partially destroyed in the 1755 earthquake, now home to the Carmo Archaeological Museum.
Cross the square and continue along Rua da Oliveira ao Carmo, a quiet street just behind the convent. After about 100 meters, you’ll arrive at the Lisboa Pessoa Hotel, located at number 8.
